Central Station Pub
4th - downtown Kamloops
Forever and ever - that's how long this pub has been in Kamloops. Yet, I always forget about it as a place to eat. Whenever it is suggested to me, I'm happy to go there. I don't remember ever having a bad meal at this pub. The other night I had the club stack with a bowl of soup for $7.25. Actually, this is cheaper than at other places for soup and sandwich. The sandwich came freshly toasted and with real slices of chicken (not sandwich meat). The soup of the day was cream of potato and leek. It was rich, creamy and very tasty. I highly recommend this if you can get in on a day when they make it. Anyways, our server was friendly, efficient and very accomodating. The only thing that was missing were the big, smelly, dark-coloured, comfy chairs that I always associated with the Central Station Pub. Oh well, I guess if enough of us go for the consistenty good food, these chairs will too one day be smelly and dark.
