Maurya
Victoria St, Kamloops
Located where the China Village was forever, Maurya offers up quite a large selection of Indian food. I've eaten here a number of times, and it has been consistently good. On Thursdays and Fridays, there is a lunch buffet for $9.95. This is a great way to try something new for those who aren't familiar with Indian food. Anything ordered off of the menu is served much like it is in Indian restaurants. Each dish comes with an order of rice. Maurya's menu is quite extensive and may intimidate. So for the newbies to Indian food, I suggest the Goa chicken, malai kofta, palak paneer, the butter chicken and any of the naans. This is only a smattering of what is offered. Considering how consistently good the food is here, I wouldn't hesitate to try any of the other dishes.
