Chapters Viewpoint
Columbia Street, Kamloops

Three more weeks to get to the Mexican buffet at Chapters Viewpoint. For $21.00/person, you can enjoy this extensive buffet, which is offered only on Mondays and Tuesdays. Those of you who shy away from foods slathered in sauces and cheese this is a good buffet for you. Yes, you can have the cheese and sauces but you can also make your own tacos or nachos and decided exactly how saucy you would like it. There are three types of burritos, which really only differ in the fillings. I really enjoyed the slowed cooked pork...it did need a bit more spice, but otherwise, it was so tender that it melted in my mouth. For me, the best reason to go to this buffet are the sopapillas, served up hot and with sweet butter. Very refreshing after the rich sauces and cheese. If I were a vegetarian, I don't know that I would feel that this buffet is worth while. I know there are varying degrees of vegetarianism, but there is nothing hot without cheese, eggs or seafood. Anyways as a carnivore, this buffet is a nice treat just once during Chapters' buffet season.
