Senor Froggy's
Tranquille Rd, Kamloops

When I'm looking for a place to eat, I often forget about this spot. It is in the same location that it's been in for years. Years ago, my friend and I used to eat here regularly and have the chimichanga...mmmm...good food... good memories. Last week was the first time to visit this restaurant in a long time. I had the super burrito platter for $9.35 plus taxes. The platters, which come with rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole, should not be confused with the combos, which come with mexi fries and a drink. With the exception of the rice (which was okay), I really liked everything. The super burrito comes in it's own sauce, so no need for anything extra. I only wish the burrito had been a little warmer. I liked getting the sour cream and guacomole as part of the meal and not being charged extra. The great thing about this fast food spot is that you can take the whole family and still have a beer. The only thing that is missing from the menu is the sopapillas with honey butter...mmmm.... Next time you're out looking for a reasonably priced meal that isn't just burgers and fries, consider Senor Froggy's...Ole!!!!

North Shore Cowboy Coffee
Tranquille Rd, Kamloops

Atmosphere!!!! That's the difference between the North Shore Cowboy Coffee and the downtown Cowboy Coffee.

I was resistant to going to the new Cowboy Coffee (you know how unfriendly the downtown shop is), but when I walked up to the counter, the server actually smiled and asked me how I was. What a pleasant surprise.

This and the large windows add to the overall brightness of the North Shore location of Cowboy Coffee. The coffee prices and coffee products seem to be the same. The North Shore location has a couple of comfy chairs and a variety of seating options.

This seems to be a great addition to the North Shore. I hope that they can keep up the friendliness that I was greeted with today. If so, I think that I've found my comfy coffee spot here in Kamloops.
